The APEX Career Contribution Award honours executives whose leadership, dedication and long-term contributions have strengthened Canada’s public service and delivered meaningful results for Canadians.

Federal Retirees is proud to sponsor the 2026 APEX Career Contribution Award and celebrate Andrew Campbell as this year’s recipient. This is the ninth consecutive year that our association has sponsored this prestigious award.

A visionary and collaborative leader, Campbell has played a central role in some of Parks Canada’s most transformative initiatives, championing programs that expanded access to nature and cultural experiences for Canadians, including the Learn-to-Camp program, the Cultural Access Pass and the Xplorers program.

Campbell’s leadership has also contributed to landmark national achievements, including the creation of Rouge National Urban Park and the expansion of the search for the Franklin Expedition ships into the largest Arctic search program in Canadian history — an effort that captured international attention and deepened Canadians’ understanding of the North and its past.

Federal Retirees believes great public service leadership is worth celebrating because of its power to create lasting opportunities and benefits for Canadians across generations. Through decades of thoughtful leadership and collaboration, Andrew Campbell has helped build programs, partnerships and experiences that connect Canadians to nature, history and one another.

Congratulations to Andrew Campbell on this outstanding achievement.
