Many Calgarians have heard about the Sam Centre, but few have had the opportunity to experience it firsthand. NAFR Calgary & District is pleased to invite members to explore this exciting new attraction dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories, history, and community spirit of the Calgary Stampede. Our afternoon begins with a 30-minute guided Vern Scown Gallery Tour, where you’ll discover fascinating stories behind one of Calgary’s most iconic traditions. Even if you’ve attended the Calgary Stampede for years, you’re sure to learn something new as our guide shares the people, history, and traditions that helped shape this world-renowned event. Following the guided tour, we’ll gather in a private meeting room for refreshments and an opportunity to visit with fellow members. Event Schedule (Both Dates) 1:00 p.m. – Guided Vern Scown Gallery Tour Approximately 1:45 p.m. – Private meeting room opens 2:00 p.m. – Coffee, light refreshments, and social gathering
