Our Fredericton branch volunteers hosted an election townhall to ask about important issues affecting members and seniors, including a national seniors strategy.
On Sept. 14, the Fredericton & District Branch of the National Association of Federal Retirees hosted a live webinar townhall for the upcoming federal election.
This special 90-minute election discussion featured candidates Jenica Atwin from the Liberal party, Andrea Johnson from the Conservative party, Nicole O’Byrne from the Green party, and Shawn Oldenburg from the New Democratic Party.
Discussion focused on the need for a national seniors strategy, access to health care, and retirement income security.
Special thanks go to the Fredericton branch volunteer team, lead by branch president John Richards, for making this event possible, and to Atlantic district director Léonard LeBlanc for moderating the discussion.
