Canada Life reports cyber incident

Canada Life has confirmed that no sensitive personal information was impacted for public service plan members in a recent cyber incident.
 

Canada Life has reported a recent cyber incident, noting that the issue has been contained and services continue as usual.

Canada Life has also confirmed that no highly sensitive personal information — such as banking, medical or government identification details — was impacted for members or dependants of the public service plans, including the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP) and the Public Service Dental Care Plan (PDSP).
 

Watch for suspicious messages

Following this incident, Canada Life is warning of possible phishing attempts or other malicious messages targeting individuals with connections to their company. 

Canada Life has stated that they will not ask for passwords, one-time codes or sensitive personal information by email or text. If any action is required, they will contact individuals directly to provide guidance and support.

If a message doesn’t feel right, pause and verify it before taking any action, and do not respond or interact with the sender.
