Tickets are now available for purchase. They can be picked up at our office located at 102-238A Brownlow Avenue, Dartmouth, NS. It is a little tricky to get to our office. See below for detailed directions.

You can come to our office (see detailed directions below) to pay and pick up your ticket(s), or you can mail us a cheque made out to the National Association of Federal Retirees, and we will have your tickets ready for pick up at Legion. If you are sending a cheque, give us a call at 902-463-1431 to let us know your name and how many tickets you want. Tickets must be paid for by Tuesday, October 22, 2024. If you are sending a cheque, please make sure it will be received by October 22.

Presentations

Ms. Laura Brine, Emergency Management Administrator, Halifax Regional Municipality, will be providing a presentation on emergency preparedness that includes what to put in a “go bag”, what you should have in your home emergency kit and the new Voluntary Vulnerable Persons Registry (VVPR) for applicants who may require more assistance during large scale emergencies or evacuations can sign up. This includes mobility, vision, hearing, etc.

Meal Details

Roasted turkey with a choice of mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans and assorted pies for dessert. Water, tea and coffee will be available for your meal. You can also purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the Legion's bar.

DETAILED DIRECTIONS: The office is located in the Dartmouth Burnside Industrial District by the Delta Hotel at 238A Brownlow Avenue, Suite 102, Office 8. If you are facing the front doors of the hotel, our office is located in the separate brown building to the right of the hotel, that is 238A Brownlow Avenue. Enter at the front of the building where you will go through 3 sets of glass doors. The 3rd set is at the end of the hallway, that is considered suite 102. There are a number of businesses located in suite 102. Our office number is 8 and is straight ahead and to the right of the boardroom. Or, if the receptionist is at her desk, you can ask the receptionist to direct you to our office. Remember that our office hours are Monday to Thursday, 10:30am to 12:30pm.
