Retroactive Pay for Retired Executives

The Public Service Pay Centre is committed to providing timely and accurate pay services to the Executive community of its 46 client departments. In 2019 and 2020, thousands of retroactive payments were issued to Executives as a result of the increases to the 2014-2018 executive rates of pay. At this time, over 99% of active Executives have received their retroactive payments, with the remaining work to be completed shortly.

The Pay Centre has now begun issuing retroactive payments for Executives who were employed in departments served by the Pay Centre between April 1, 2014 and March 31, 2018 and who ended their employment in the Federal Public Service prior to April 1, 2018. A complete list of departments served  by the Pay Centre can be found here.

The Pay Centre is targeting to issue all payments to these former Executives by the end of 2020.  Rest assured that the Pay Centre is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and is continuously revising or adapting its operational plans. Any changes or delays to completing this work will be communicated.

If you ended your employment in a department served by the Pay Centre and have any questions about your retroactive pay, please contact the Client Contact Centre.
