A Message from the nominations committee
As members of the National Association of Federal Retirees, we are writing to you today to advise you that the branch management committee has positions where the incumbents' terms are ending. It is the mandate of the nominations committee to find members who would be interested in running for election to these positions:
1. Treasurer: Term to run to March 2028.
The treasurer shall keep the financial accounts of the branch and shall exercise primary signing authority for expenditures. At each branch annual meeting, the treasurer shall submit a report on the branch finances for the previous fiscal year, and a budget forecast for the next fiscal year.
2. Secretary: Term to run to March 2028.
The secretary shall have charge of all papers and correspondence and keep a true and correct record of all proceedings of all general meetings and meetings of the branch executive. Shall provide such other duties as may be required by the branch executive.
Elections for these positions will be held at the branch's AGM on April 14, 2026.
Additionally, the management board seeks to increase the number of management board members. These positions are not elected but appointed by the management committee to assist in various aspects of branch activities, such as event organization, communications and membership assistance.
If you are interested in putting your name forward or recommending someone for any of these elected positions or would like to volunteer as a member-at-large to assist in the ongoing or special activities in support of your branch, please contact Kathy Lye at (306) 584-0565.
Thank you,
Frederick Fromm
