Celebrate National Public Service Week with us

Multigenerational group of public servants.

Every June, National Public Service Week honours the people behind Canada’s federal public service — past and present.

Every June, Canada marks National Public Service Week (NPSW) — a time to recognize the dedicated individuals who keep our country running, from coast to coast.

NPSW 2025 is taking place from June 15 to 21.

At the National Association of Federal Retirees, we know that public service doesn’t end with retirement. Many of our members gave decades of their careers to serving Canadians — and continue to give back through volunteerism, advocacy and community leadership.

Public service is the thread that connects generations — past, present and future. It shapes the programs we rely on, the values we hold dear and the country we call home.

This year’s theme says it best: “Past and present, your service matters.”

Join us this week as we celebrate the people behind it all.

In honour and remembrance

To close the week, we continue a meaningful tradition: On the final working day of National Public Service Week, we lower our flag in remembrance of public servants — including members of our Association — who have passed away.

This moment of recognition reminds us of the excellent service and dedication these individuals gave to Canadians and the lasting impact of their contributions.
