Earnie MacDougall

On Sept. 17, the Bluewater Branch of Federal Retirees lost a valued and important volunteer.

Earnie MacDougall was employed by the federal government for 35 years. Following his retirement, he moved from Chatham to Goderich where he not only became involved in the community but joined the National Association of Federal Retirees then known as FSNA. But Earnie did not just join the Association, he became involved in the many roles that make the Association work. He worked tirelessly as the Health Benefits Officer, the co-chair of the volunteer of the year award, and most importantly the President.

Earnie was a quiet man. Often when he was giving his report as President, it was not unusual to hear Mary Anne telling him to move it along. He had a sense of humour which he shared on many occasions.

Earnie will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
