Lunch & Learn Information Session October 2019
We would like to extend an invitation to the members of the Winnipeg and District Branch of the National Association of Federal Retirees to attend our Lunch and Learn workshop.
A series of speakers are invited to provide info on various subjects and will answer your questions about their area(s) of expertise.
Between presentations, health breaks and a lunch will be offered.

We hope you will join us by confirming your attendance with Naomi Ashton no later than October 9, 2019 by emailing nafrwpg@mymts.net or calling the Branch telephone at 204-989-2061. Please advise if you will be attending the morning session and/or the afternoon session and lunch or just one of the sessions. Members must also advise when registering if they would like to receive a flu shot, as Mr. Lai will only be bringing the amount requested.
Due to space constraints we can only accept the first 100 members who confirm their attendance.
9:00- 10:15 Terry Cutting, Senior Financial Consultant IG Securities, will present on RIF options and strategies, investing and guaranteed investment funds.
10:15- 10:30 Health Break
10:30- 12:00 Carey Lai, Pharmacist – Medications – do you still need to be on them? Reviewing medications safety and describing medications
Note: Based on the availability of the flu vaccine by October 16th, Mr. Lai will dispense flu shots after his presentation. Members coming to the presentation and wanting to receive a flu shot must advise when registering to attend as Mr. Lai will only be bringing the amount requested. The vaccine consent form will be available at the registration table the morning of October 16th and must be completed before receiving the flu shot. PLEASE ENSURE YOU BRING YOUR MANITOBA HEALTH CARD WITH YOU.
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch
1:00 – 2:30 Heather Dixon, The People’s Corner Law Office, will provide information on elder abuse, power of attorney, health care directives and wills.
Lunch will be offered buffet style at 12pm (noon). If you have food restrictions, please advise us when registering.
We suggest that you take the bus or that you travel with friends as parking is limited.
