The Saskatoon Branch has completed the change from a corporation to a charter branch.
The presentation made at the 2015 Annual General Meeting explains the reasons and process.
The Saskatoon Branch Dissolution Action Plan provides a detailed time line for the dissolution along with the motions that need to be passed at the October 21, 2015 Special General Meeting. The meeting was held immediately after the fall supper at Smiley's.
All the motions to convert the Saskatoon Branch from a corporation to a charter branch were passed by all the members present unanimously. The changes were approved by the National Board of Directors. The corporation ceased operations at midnight December 31, 2015.
The charter branch took over operations on January 1, 2016. The existing executive remained in place until the Annual Meeting of Members on April 13, 2016.
The new board was put in place on April 13, 2016.
The Certificate of Dissolution has been received. This terminates the process of dissolution and brings the Branch into alignment with the National Association Rules and Regulations.
