Federal Retirees Joins the RCMP in Honouring Fallen Members

September 07, 2018

On Sunday, Sept. 9, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) will hold its National Memorial Service at the RCMP Academy, "Depot" Division, in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The RCMP National Memorial Service is an annual event held the second Sunday of September. This time-honoured tradition began in the mid-1930s when RCMP members met on Sleigh Square to honour their fallen comrades.

The ceremony will begin with a memorial parade at 8:45 a.m. CST and those not able to attend in person are welcome and encouraged to watch the event live online.

Federal Retirees would like to take this opportunity to recognize the enormous contributions of the RCMP and to honour those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. We thank you for your sacrifices and your courage.
